Village Gardens Farmers Market Manager – Village Gardens is seeking qualified applicants for a new Farmers Market Manager position. The Village Market Manager will work to 1) increase access to locally produced agricultural products through farmers market expansion and the development of sustainable market management infrastructure, 2) expand the customer base of the farmers market through improved outreach and marketing, and 3) expand and diversify vendor participants. During the market season, The Farmers Market Manager will be responsible for all aspects of market operations including: managing the market application process and vendor selection, managing vendor relationships, coordinating market set-up and break-down each day, assisting vendors with sales, market counts, supervising volunteers, and managing the promotion of the market. Food Works youth can be found at the Portland Farmer’s Market at PSU, and the St. Johns Farmer’s Market on Saturdays during the summer. Food Works products can also be purchased at the New Seasons Market Arbor Lodge store on N Interstate and at the Village Market. You can also support Food Works by becoming a CSA Member.
