Food Works CSA

Become a member of our CSA and receive a box of farm-fresh produce every week from June to November for 23 weeks. By purchasing a portion of the season’s harvest, CSA members develop a partnership with our farm, the youth employed at Food Works and the Village Gardens Community. All funds from our CSA go back into the program to help employ youth from North Portland and operate our 2 acre certified organic farm on Sauvie Island.

We are excited to be partnering with Portland Area CSA Coalition to offer SNAP payment and Double Up Food Bucks! “Double Up Food Bucks” is a program available through the Portland Area CSA Coalition that doubles the purchasing power of CSA members who pay with SNAP by [up to] $200 a year! Double Up Food Bucks provides matching money to Food Works Farm, making CSA more affordable while supporting Food Works’ economic sustainability. Food Works full share normally costs $600, but will only cost you $400 with Double Up Food Bucks. You would make an initial payment of $50 and five monthly SNAP payments starting in June of $70. Double Up Food Bucks are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis and are only available if you, or anyone in your household, was not a member of any CSA in 2015. Read more about the awesome work of Portland Area CSA Coalition’s work towards making CSA membership more affordable and accessible to all Portlanders and to find other participating farms!
